Les pères investissent davantage les enfants qui leur ressemblent.

C’est la conclusion d’une étude menée dans des villages sénégalais traditionnels par l’equipe de Michel Raymond, de l’université de Montpellier.

Pour établir un “indice d’investissement”, les pères et mères de trente familles devaient d’abord évaluer l’engagement du géniteur dans l’éducation de leurs enfants, de 2 à 7 ans : présence, affection, argent, etc.

Les chercheurs ont ensuite demandé à des personnes étrangères au village de retrouver le père de chaque enfant parmi plusieurs photos, puis en comparant des T-shirts imprégnés de leur odeur, pour construire un “indice de ressemblance”.

Le croisement des deux indicateurs montre que le père accorde davantage d’attention au fils ou à la fille qui a le visage et l’odeur les plus proche de lui, deux indices de proximité génétique.

L’investissement paternel est donc bien influencé par la reconnaissance d’un lien filial.

Cette étude confirme également que l’investissement du père a un influence positive sur la croissance et l’epanouissement de l’enfant.

Les chercheurs mènent actuellesment une étude similaire en France.

The fathers invest more to the children that resemble to them.

This is the conclusion of a conducted study in Senegalese traditional villages by the team of Michel Raymond, of the university of Montpellier.

To establish a "sign of devotion", the fathers and mothers of thirty families had first to evaluate the engagement of the parents in the education of their children, from 2 to 7 years: presence, affection, money, etc.

The researchers next asked strangers to go to the village to find the father of every child among several photos, while comparing of the T shirts impregnated of their odor, to construct a "resemblance sign".

The crossroads of the two indicators show that the father grants more attention to the son or to the daughter that has the face and the odor more close to him, two signs of genetic proximity.

The paternal investment is therefore well influenced by the recognition of a filial link.

This study confirms equally that the investment of the father has a positive influence on the growth and the development of the child.

The researchers take a similar study in France.

Para ayah berinvestasi lebih banyak ke anak yang mirip dengan dirinya.

Itu adalah hasil kesimpulan dari penelitian di desa-desa tradisional Senegal yang dilakukan oleh tim dipimpin Michel Raymond dari Universitas Montpellier.

Untuk membuat “tanda rasa sayang”, para ayah dan ibu dari 30 keluarga pertama-tama harus menaksir keterlibatan orang tua dalam hal pendidikan dari anak-anak mereka, dari usia 2 hingga 7 tahun : kehadiran, kasih sayang, uang dan sebagainya.

Para peneliti kemudian meminta orang asing datang ke desa untuk menemukan ayah dari setiap anak dari beberapa foto, sementara membandingkan T-shirt yang telah ada aroma tubuh mereka, untuk memberikan gagasan “tanda kesamaan”

Pertemuan dari kedua tanda itu menunjukkan bahwa para ayah memberikan perhatian lebih kepada anak laki-laki atau anak perempuan yang memiliki wajah dan aroma tubuh yang mirip dengannya, dua tanda kedekatan genetik.

Investasi paternal dipengaruhi oleh pengenalan mata rantai keturunan.

Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa investasi dari ayah memiliki pengaruh positif bagi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak.

Para peneliti juga mengadakan penelitian yang sama di Prancis.
